Ž<P>SOLUTION: A device for manufacturing an electro-optical apparatus includes: a light source 201 emitting light with which a workpiece W is irradiated; a conveying device 199 holding the workpiece W; a collimator lens 205 interposed between the light source 201 and the conveying device 199 in an optical path 200P and emitting incident light as parallel light within the optical path 200P; a first polarizer 207 interposed between the collimator lens 205 and the conveying device 199 in the optical path 200P and separating polarized light from the parallel light within the optical path 200P; and a second polarizer 209 interposed between the first polarizer 207 and the conveying device 199 in the optical path 200P and receiving the polarized light, wherein the second polarizer 209 separates at least a portion of one polarization component of polarization components included in the polarized light and having polarization axes crossing each other into an outer part of the optical path 200P.
