<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat display device which prevents a droplet, dust, etc. from entering a housing and has a high heat radiating effect. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The flat display device heat-exchanges heat in a housing generated by a heat generating component provided in the housing composed of a front housing in which a display panel for displaying an image is assembled and a rear housing which is assembled integrally with the front housing with air sucked from an inlet and discharges the heat from an outlet. The rear housing has a case shape; the inlet is provided in the rear surface of the rear housing below from the heat generating component and the outlet is provided in the rear surface of the rear housing above from the heat generating component. A projection portion projecting along the lower side of the outlet and outward from the rear surface of the rear housing is installed or the surface of the rear housing below the outlet is inclined to the inside of the housing, so that a stepped projection is provided below the outlet.
