<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device facilitating operation in carrying out network registration for each of a plurality networks. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The communication device M1 includes: a control part 15 for carrying out a network registration process of network-registering one's own communication device or another communication device in each of two networks using a power line 1 and a coaxial line 4 as signal transmission paths; and first and second transmission/reception parts 11, 13 respectively connected to both the networks. Authentication keys 15a, 15b different from each other are used in both the networks, and the network registration process is used for sharing the authentication keys 15a, 15b with the other communication device. The control part 15 is configured to cause each of both the transmission/reception parts 11, 13 to transmit or receive the authentication key for the network to which each of the transmission/reception parts 11, 13 is connected when receiving depression of a push button 17.
