PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic photoreceptor capable of obtaining an electrophotographic image with high durability and high image quality by improving abrasion resistance of the organic photoreceptor to a level equal to that of an amorphous silicon photoreceptor and improving image deletion or image blur which is liable to occur under high temperature, high humidity or the like, and to provide an image forming apparatus and a process cartridge, using the organic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The organic photoreceptor has at least a photosensitive layer on a conductive support and further has a protective layer on the photosensitive layer, wherein the protective layer contains at least inorganic fine particles surface-treated with a hole-transportable compound.
