RECEIVER FOR RECEIVING EMERGENCY PROMPT REPORT IN TERRESTRIAL DIGITAL TELEVISION BROADCAST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver for receiving transmission control signals for emergency prompt reports from terrestrial digital television broadcast waves.

SOLUTION: The receiver includes: a frame synchronization means for receiving broadcast waves including transmission control signals and performing frame synchronization based on synchronization signals included in the transmission control signals; a frame synchronization holding means 19 for holding the timing of the frame synchronization; a means 13 for demodulating flags disposed immediately after the synchronization signals; and a flag monitoring means for monitoring the value. Power is supplied to the frame synchronization means and the flag demodulation means 13 according to the reception timing of the flags when serving both as synchronization establishment and flag monitoring. When monitoring the flags after the synchronization establishment, power is supplied to the flag demodulation means according to the reception timing of the flags.
