<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a running support apparatus, a running support method, and a computer program capable of achieving running considering a surrounding environment of a planned travel route. <P>SOLUTION: The running support apparatus acquires route information and vehicle information of the planned travel route of a vehicle 2; estimates driving force necessary for the vehicle 2 for each section when running the planned travel route, based on the acquired route information and vehicle information of the planned travel route; determines whether there is a section where the estimated driving force of the vehicle 2 for each section is not less than a threshold; specifies a motor running recommendation section for recommending running with a drive motor 5 as a driving source from a peripheral environment of the planned travel route in the planned travel route, when it is determined there is no section where the estimated driving force of the vehicle 2 for each section is not less than the threshold; and generates a control schedule 49, based on the specified motor running recommendation section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
