<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bacteria analyzing apparatus for improving counting accuracy by setting the counter region of bacteria based on the distribution situation of bacteria of an object to be analyzed, and a bacteria analyzing method and a computer program therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The bacteria analyzing apparatus includes a sample preparation section to prepare a measuring sample from a specimen and a detector to detect a predetermined bacteria containing the measuring sample prepared by the sample preparation section. The distribution situation of the bacteria detected by the detector is obtained, and the counter region of bacteria is set in response to the distribution situation obtained.
