<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position sensor which spreads an influence of radiation noise over its control circuit, and enhances detection accuracy by diffusing specific radiation noise having a specific frequency. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The position sensor is a resolver which includes exciting coils 22 and 23 into which exciting signals having amplitude-modulated carrier waves are input, and a detecting coil 24 for outputting a detection signal, and detects a change in position of the rotor of the resolver, based on a detection signal which changes according to changes in rotation position of the rotor provided with the detecting coil 24.
