<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire enabling weight reduction thereof while preventing cracking due to ozone. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire has lightened parts 18 of a concave shape for a tire outer surface formed on a pair of side wall parts 17 and reinforcements 19 which are arranged in a region to the tire largest width part along the tire outer surface from an intersection point of a perpendicular from a center of a circular arc of a rim flange Rf to a carcass 13 and the tire outer surface in a tire attitude at the time of assembling on an applicable rim R, and has cords 19a made of an organic fiber member formed and juxtaposed in a range of 45° to 90° in the tire circumferential direction, and more than two pieces of which are inserted at positions of 1 to 5 mm deep from the tire outer surface.
