<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify finish of printing at a proper sound volume in response to a noise in an operation environment. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A sound sensor 17 and a noise level detecting part 6 detect a noise level in the operation environment of a newest printer 3 immediately before printing in every generation of a printing job, and a buzzer sound switching part 7 switches a printing finish notification sound of a buzzer 46 from the notification sound of the first notification mode to the notification sound of the second notification mode and vice versa, based on a level of the noise level detected by the noise level detecting part 6, so as to printing-finish-notify the finish of the printing at the proper sound volume in response to the noise in the operation environment of the printer 3.
