PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multistory parking device capable of stably holding the level attitude of a pallet lifting body in a simple configuration. SOLUTION: In this multistory parking device 1, a rear lifting chain 12 and balance chains 13, 14 are disposed between a front pallet pole 7 and a rear pallet pole 8. The distance T1 between the rear end 6d of a pallet 6 and the rear pallet pole 8 is smaller than the distance T2 between the front end 6e of the pallet 6 and the front pallet pole 7. Since both the center of action of the horizontal load acting on the pallet 6 on each stage and the balance chains 13, 14 serving as arresting parts are positioned further on the center side than the front and rear pallet poles 7, 8, the added horizontal load can be distributed to the front pallet pole 7 and the rear pallet pole 8. Since a reinforcement structure does not need to be specially provided, the simple configuration can be maintained.
