The hydraulic system has a hydraulic actuator (A1) with two working chambers for actuating a moving element of the convertible hood device, particularly a roof. A valve device is provided, which blocks a flow from the two supply lines (11,21) and to the hydraulic fluid feed line (1) and the hydraulic fluid discharge line (2) in a non-operative condition. The valve device permits a flow from the hydraulic fluid feed line in the two supply lines.
