REFERENCE SIGNAL TRANSMISSION METHOD FOR DOWNLINK MULTIPLE INPUT MULTIPLE OUTPUT SYSTEM

PURPOSE: In a downward link MIMO(Multi Input Multi Output) system, an RS(Reference Signal) transmission method efficiently transmits data and RS from a coexistence environment of a LTE- A(LTE-Advanced) UE(User Interface) and LTE UE. CONSTITUTION: A sub frame is produced. The sub frame is transmitted to the first UE and the second UE. The first UE and the second UE recognize all OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) symbols on the sub frame. As it is similar to the location of RS on the sub frame of the LTE(Lond Term Evolution) system, the RS(Reference Signal) toward the predetermined four antennas is mapped on the OFDM symbol of the sub frame. RS about the rest antenna is mapped on the rest OFDM symbol except for the RS-mapped OFDM symbol.
