<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environment enabling the use of a draw instruction for drawing an image via a tree structure, even from an application that does not have a tree structure management function. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A structured document processing method includes: a display process for generating an image by compositing a plurality of drawing objects; a structuring process for configuring a tree structure to manage the drawing objects; an acquisition process for accepting a command to add a drawing object; a drawing process for generating an image to be output to a display device from the drawing objects in the tree structure; an integration process for integrating the plurality of drawing objects into a single drawing object that produces an identical drawing result; and a selection process for selecting the drawing objects to be integrated.
