<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant applicator that develops lubricating property of a photoreceptor to the maximum by stably grinding a lubricant with a brush to supply and thereby, always stably supplying the minimum amount of the lubricant to the photoreceptor, and to provide a process cartridge using the lubricant applicator, and an image forming apparatus mounting the cartridge. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The lubricant applicator includes a lubricant applying member 32 for applying a lubricant powder obtained by grinding a solid lubricant 31 to an image carrier 2 of a process cartridge 6, and a homogenizing member 33 for stretching the solid lubricant 31 over the surface to be coated, wherein the lubricant applying member 32 is a brush-like rotational body having bristles that slide on the image carrier 2 and are in contact with the solid lubricant 31. The bristle, in a cross-sectional form, has four arms 32b making an approximately cross or star shape, and is integrated with a circular or polygonal plate portion covering the above four arms 32b at one end of the bristle.
