The system has a tank (12) in which the reducing agent is stored, where the tank is limited by a tank wall (14). The tank wall is subjected to ambient temperature. A connection (44) is formed in the tank between a fluid volume (36) and an expansion area, where the fluid volume is adjustable during freezing of reducing agent in the tank. The connection is designed as a plastic tube comprising elastic areas (48). The connection has openings (46) over which fluid from the fluid volume enters into a cavity (50) of the connection.
