The method involves a switching on a compressor in a mode of operation, for e.g. inflating and sealing, measuring a pressure in an inflatable article, and starting the compressor. Another pressure is measured in the inflatable article according to a run time duration of the compressor, where the difference of the pressure is determined. The difference of pressure is compared with a threshold value for the differential pressure. An independent claim is also included for a car breakdown assistance system for sealing and inflating of motor vehicle tire.
