The invention relates to a copolymer that can be obtained by the polymerisation of the monomers , and , being a monomer of formula wherein A is C-Calkylene and B is a C-Calkylene different from A, k corresponds to the number 0 or 1, m is a number between 0 and 500, n is a number between 0 and 500, the sum of m + n being equal to between 1 and 1000; contains an ethylenically unsaturated monomer containing an aromatic group; and is an ethylenically unsaturated monomer containing an alkyl radical. The copolymers according to the invention are suitable as dispersants for pigments.
