Class 141 A waterproof mitten with heat-sealed reversed seams and a thickened fingertip portion as described in the parent Specification is modified in that the back and palm sides of the thumb are formed as integral extensions of the main back and palm blanks respectively. The mitten may comprise a single blank, Fig. 6, or two separate blanks, Fig. 7 (not shown), with reinforcing strips 8a, 9a. 11a, 12a connected thereto by heat-sealing along the lines 25-28. The blank 24 may cover the entire area of the mitten or it may terminate just beyond the seams 25-28. The back of the mitten is wider than the palm. The mitten may be made of a vinyl chloride sheeting, polyethylene, rubber, or fabrics impregnated with plastics materials. |
