PURPOSE: A vertical axis wind turbine is provided to cover the impellers from a counter-rotation force by employing a wind guide installed in the section on which the counter-rotation force acts. CONSTITUTION: A vertical axis wind turbine is configured as follows. A post(2) is installed on a fixed bottom plate(1). A bearing(8-1) is provided for a generator to automatically positioned according to the direction of wind. A generator bottom plate(3) is installed in a bearing housing. A left impeller(9) is installed around a rotary shaft(5) and a right impeller(10) is installed around a rotary shaft(6) and the impellers are rotate in opposite directions. A left and a right wind guide(12,13) are respectively installed in the left and the right impeller in order to block the counter-rotation force wind from the right and the left impeller. A center impeller(11) is installed around an intermediate rotary shaft(7). Generators(21,22,23) are installed on the rotary shafts. |
