Screw actuator with brake

The actuator (1) has a housing (3) extending along a longitudinal axis (2). A drive shaft is coupled to a drive device and rotatably driven around the longitudinal axis by the drive device. A spindle pinion has a threaded-spindle with an external thread, and a spindle-screw nut with an internal thread that is fitted with the external thread. An adjusting element (19) is moved in a direction of the longitudinal axis by the spindle-pinion. A brake device increases the self-friction of the actuator in the moving direction, and is arranged between the drive shaft and the spindle pinion.
