DISPLAY APPARATUS

摘要

PURPOSE: A display device is provided to improve a contrast of a display image using a same part driving method with a local dimming with decreasing a thickness by supplying a light to a display panel using a backlight unit for a module type. CONSTITUTION: A backlight unit(100) is driven along a block partitioned and includes a plurality of optical assemblies. A display panel(210) is located in an upper side of the backlight unit. A controller(600) outputs a local dimming value along the block corresponding to a brightness of the backlight unit according to an image displayed. A backlight unit driver(610) controls the brightness of the blocks of the backlight unit using the local dimming value along the block.
