The device (14) has a transparent optical diffusion piece provided with a layer of diffractive optical elements cooperating with a light source for producing a determined form of light beam from interior lighting. The diffusion piece has an outer surface arranged opposite to the light source and an inner surface situated opposite to the light source. The diffusion piece is constituted of a plate made of plastic material, where the diffusion piece and the diffractive optical elements are formed by injection or embossing.
