TERMINAL TRACE ACTIVATION IN A WIRLESS COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK

The present invention relates to methods and arrangements for initiation of a terminal trace in a mobile telecommunication network having a radio network architecture similar to the enhance UTRAN. A request for the terminal to be traced is sent from the RAN DM to a first eNodeB that is selected independently of the location of the terminal to be traced. The first eNode B forwards the request to a CN node. The CN node stores the trace information globally such that the trace request can be activated on any eNode B connected to the Cn node and receives an identity of a second eNode B that is controlling the terminal to be traced. The terminal trace request can then be sent to the second eNodeB, such that the second eNode B can perform the terminal trace.
