PURPOSE: An opening/closing type air cleaner for vehicles is provided to automatically open/close an air cleaner together when a hood opens/closes, by connecting the upper cover of the air cleaner to the inner panel of the hood. CONSTITUTION: An opening/closing type air cleaner for vehicles comprises a lower housing(4) and an upper cover(2). The lower housing is fixed in the engine room and comprises a filter(5). The upper cover is fixed to the hood. When the engine room closes with the hood, the upper cover covers and closes the lower housing. A flat mounting face is formed at the hood to place and assemble a duct(3) and the upper cover. A combining flange with a combining hole is integrally formed at the duct, the upper cover and the lower housing, respectively. A bush is inserted into the combining hole and is combined with a fastening bolt.
