The hidden hinge has no parts visible when the door or window is closed. A curved hinge arm is rigidly fitted to the edge of the door/window with the end of the arm on a pivot support inside the frame. The frames of the door/window and the fixed frame are hollow structures. The hinge arm mounting is secured inside the fixed frame by clamping block inserts. The clamping blocks are fitted into the open frame and are secured with the door open. The fitted door/window is difficult to break into, with no hinge sections visible e.g. to be cut through. |
