PURPOSE: An apparatus for inputting letters based on motion and a method thereof are provided to instruct the quickest motion input available time to a user. CONSTITUTION: An input unit(10) detects a motion change by a signal using a sensor(20). A motion analysis application unit(100) recognizes a letter by distinguishing meaningful motion from the signal of the input unit. The motion analysis application unit analyzes a motion type of the user from the signal of the input unit to make motion faster. A motion analyzing unit(120) analyzes a signal of the distinguished motion section to generate motion data. A feedback unit(110) informs the fact that the motion is distinguished to a user.
