<p>PURPOSE: A DC motor controller and a controlling method thereof are provided to stop the operation of a DC motor depending on the state of the rotation of the DC motor using a gap signal. CONSTITUTION: A DC motor(100) includes gaps(f,g,h) formed between a plurality of commutators(a,b,c). A DC motor driver(150) applies a driving voltage to the DC motor. The DC motor driver detects a gap signal corresponding to the gap from the DC motor. A servo microcomputer(170) controls the DC motor driver to drive the DC motor by analyzing the gap signal detected from the DC motor driver. The DC motor driver outputs an amplified gap signal by amplifying the gap signal. The DC motor driver comprises a driving signal generator(154) which applies a voltage to two brushes of the DC motor according to the control of the servo microcomputer and an operational amplifier(152) which amplifies the gap signal.</p> |
