PURPOSE: Catalyst heating logic of a GDI(Gasoline Direct Injection) engine is provided to prevent the negative pressure reduction in a brake boost by keeping the pressure in an intake manifold from excessively rising. CONSTITUTION: Catalyst heating logic of a GDI engine comprises the steps of: heating catalyst for fixed hours in engine starting(S10), measuring the pressure in a brake boost after the pressure in an intake manifold increases through the catalyst heating(S20,S100), determining a brake signal if the brake boost pressure is lower than a reference value(S110), and, if the brake signal is 'ON', reducing the pressure rise in the intake manifold to increase the pressure in the brake boost and enable brake manipulation(S120,S40).
