PURPOSE: An accident protection method using an airbag is provided to easily absorb or control an impact due to the breakdown/destruction or the flame or smoke due to a fire in a tunnel. CONSTITUTION: An accident protection method using an airbag is as follows. An airbag device(400) is installed in a specific position of a tunnel. A detection sensor within the airbag device is used to detect the occurrence of accidents, such as breakdown/destruction, during excavation or blasting. When an accident is detected, an airbag in the airbag device is inflated in order to temporarily control an impact or smoke.
