PURPOSE: A posture control apparatus and a control method thereof are provided, which can improve the health state through the long-term use or the rest. CONSTITUTION: A posture control apparatus includes: a plurality of air cells(11) in which the air volume are controlled independently with one another, and which are arranged in the backing plate where user's backs contacts; a plurality of air control units(12) controlling the shape of each air cell by injecting air into a plurality of air cells or discharging the air from each cell; a spinal column shape measuring unit measuring user's spinal column by measuring the shape of a plurality of air cells; and a main controller(14) controlling a plurality of air control units to fit into the standards spinal column shape by comparing user's spinal column shape measured in the spinal column shape measuring unit with the standards spinal column shape.
