PURPOSE: An LCD is provided to prevent display quality by making electric potential around a pixel electrode similar relatively. CONSTITUTION: Liquid crystal molecules(31) between a whole circumference edge part and a common electrode of pixel electrode(12) are perpendicularly aligned about an alignment layer. In order that the liquid crystal molecules lies at right angles to a side of the alignment layer above a protrusion around the protrusion(24) of a common electrode side, the liquid crystal molecules are aligned. The liquid crystal molecules of a liquid crystal layer are aligned radically around the protrusion. The around pixel electrode has the same electric potential as the common electrode with a blocking electrode(17) and a sub capacity electrode. |
