PURPOSE: An optical receiver for performing 2-dimensional pointing by recognizing the movement of a remote optical source is provided to supply a long usage distance while using an LED(Light Emitting Diode) light source used in a conventional remote controller. CONSTITUTION: An optical lens(301) penetrates the light from a light source, and an image sensor(303) collects an image passing through the optical lens. An image processor(304) senses the movement of an image collected on the image sensor. The image collected on the image sensor is diffused. The light recognition threshold for the light collected at the image sensor is set up to recognize the diffused image collected on the image sensor.
