PURPOSE: A semiconductor light emitting device is provided to prevent a eutectic metal from being separated from a substrate by including a plurality of blocks arranged with a space. CONSTITUTION: An active layer(40) is formed on a substrate and generates light through the recombination of electrons and holes. A plurality of blocks(90) is formed under the substrate. A refractive film is positioned between the substrate and the plurality of blocks. A reflective film(92) is positioned between the refractive film and the blocks. The substrate is made of sapphire.
