PURPOSE: A system and a method for transmitting information of identifying possibility of video call between a calling network and a called network are provided to transmit information of identifying possibility of video call of a receiving terminal among networks of mobile communication service providers which is different to each other connected through relay section, thereby activates a video call service. CONSTITUTION: An originating MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(140) transmits an IAM(Initial Address Message) to receiving network(200) according to a call setting request message about receiving terminal(210) form originating terminal(110). A receiving MSC(240) transmits SRI(Send Routing Information) message to HLR(Home Location Register)(250) of receiving network. The HLR transmits SRI message to the receiving exchange. The SRI message comprises information of identifying possibility of video call of the receiving terminal.
