PURPOSE: An optical filter for a plasma display panel and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reinforce an electromagnetic wave shielding function of a filter with lowering a sheet resistance of a mesh. CONSTITUTION: A conductive mesh(14) is arranged on a single-side of a transparent base(12) includes a mesh hole. A color layer(16) is formed within the mesh hole. A hard coating layer(18) is formed on the conductive mesh and the color layer.
