PURPOSE: A data encoding/decoding method, a device thereof, an LCD device using the same, and a driving method thereof are provided to reduce the blur and color expression deterioration of a displayed image and prevent the data loss of edge information. CONSTITUTION: A first encoder(21) executes a VQ(Vector Quantization)-BTC(Block Truncation Coding) algorithm in input data, and generates first encoded data including first representative vector values and bitmaps. A second encoder(22) generates second encoded data. The second encoded data includes bitmaps, second representative vector values consisting of upper bits, an average distance between the second representative vector values and peripheral vector values, and the correction location of the vector values. |
