PURPOSE: A compressor is provided to reduce the noise generation from the discharge lead of a lead valve and prevent the damage to the discharge lead of the lead valve. CONSTITUTION: A compressor comprises a head, a cylinder block, a rotary shaft, and a valve assembly. A discharge room and an intake room are formed inside the head. The cylinder block is connected to the head and comprises cylinder bores selectively connected to the discharge room and the intake room. The rotary shaft is installed to be rotatable through the center of the cylinder block and the head. The valve assembly comprises a valve plate(50) and a lead valve. The valve plate comprises intake holes and discharge holes(52a) formed at the location facing the cylinder bores. The lead valve comprises a discharge lead opening/closing the discharge holes and the intake holes, respectively. An oil storage recess(55) is formed between the discharge hole and a shaft supporting hole of the surface of the valve plate of the location facing the discharge lead of the lead valve.
