PURPOSE: A rotary switch and a washing machine including the same are provided to improve the manipulating feeling of a dial knob to user by forming a concave-convex on the outer circumference of a rotator while a locking ball moves by a step. CONSTITUTION: A rotary switch comprises: a rotator(120) wherein a concavo-convex(122) is formed in the outer circumference; and a rotator auxiliary section which supports the operation of the rotator and comprises a locking ball(113) which elastically contacts to the concavo-convex of the rotator; a spring(112) which supplies the elastic force to the locking ball; and a vibration plate(300) which is located in the rear end of the spring.
