PURPOSE: Service guide transceiving method and device in the broadcasting system are provided to use a service guide about the various terminals. CONSTITUTION: A terminal receives SGDD(Service Guide Delivery Descriptor) from BSDA. In case the business carrier ID is searched, the terminal extracts the list of the terminal type from the device category information of SGDD. A terminal indicates a terminal type to a user(405). If the desired terminal type is selected, the terminal gets the service guide fragment list required for the service guide configuration(406,407). A terminal indicates the service guide(409).
