SYSTEM FOR MESSAGING SERVICE BASED ON SMART CARD AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A system and a method for providing a messaging service based on a smart card are provided to supply an IP based messaging service to support mobility regardless of an IMS support protocol mount of a user terminal. CONSTITUTION: A user terminal(200) transmits a message by forming an interface between an IMS(IP Multimedia Subsystem) server(100) and a smart card(300). The user terminal is connected to the smart card to request the messaging service. The user terminal receives an interlocking process result by interlocking with the IMS server from the smart card. The smart card performs the interlocking with the IMS server by generating and parsing an IMS support protocol cased message for transmitting and receiving the message to and from the IMS server.
