PURPOSE: An apparatus for providing a service using OS(Operating System) virtualization and a method thereof are provided to divide a virtual resource into areas to manage the virtual resource, thereby reducing the use frequency of an external storage device. CONSTITUTION: A resource area storage unit(620) stores area information about virtual resources. An access resource list storage unit(630) stores a list of resources accessed according to an application process. A virtual resource management unit(610) divides the virtual resources into a plurality of areas. The virtual resource management unit manages virtual resources through area information for the virtual resource and the access resource list.
