PURPOSE: A buffing machine for polishing a hydraulic cylinder is provided to improve an operator's safety using an automatic abrasive application device which automatically spreads abrasive on a buffing wheel. CONSTITUTION: A buffing machine for polishing a hydraulic cylinder comprises a buffing wheel(20), a pair of rollers(30,32), and an automatic abrasive application device(40). The buffing wheel contacts the outer circumference of a piston rod(600). The buffing wheel is rotated by an outer motor. A pair of rollers are positioned on the opposite side of the buffing wheel based on the piston rod in order to support the piston rod which is rotated by the buffing wheel. The automatic abrasive application device periodically spreads abrasive(500) in the buffing wheel.
