A gas diffusion layer with a microporous layer and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to discharge generated water to the outside with ease, thereby improving the energy efficiency of a fuel cell. A gas diffusion layer delivers reaction gas to a catalyst layer evenly. The gas diffusion layer discharges generated water to the outside. The gas diffusion layer includes a microporous layer. The microporous layer is prepared by coating a carbon cloth with slurry. The slurry is obtained by mixing polyvinylidene fluoride and carbon filler fine powder. More particularly, the slurry comprises 44.5-28.6wt% of polyvinylidene fluoride and 55.5-71.4wt% of carbon filler fine powder. The viscosity of the slurry is 200,000cps or greater. The thickness of the microporous layer is 50-130mum. |
