PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work transfer device by the servomotor driving of a transfer press which is not affected by vibration of the press, and moreover, can eliminate interference caused by synchronous deviation of motion, and its control method. SOLUTION: The work transfer device by the servomotor driving of the transfer press is provided with a press angle detector (11) to detect the press angle equivalent to a slide position during one cycle, a vibration suppression part (24) to make an effect to remove a vibration component of the detected press angle signal variable according to a parameter made capable of free setting at an arbitrary point of time and to output the press angle signal in which the vibration component is removed, a parameter setting part (23) to selectively change the parameter at the vibration suppression part (24) during actual control, and a motion servo operation part (25) to control rotation of the servomotor in synchronization with the press angle signal in which the vibration component from the vibration suppression part (24) is removed.
