PURPOSE: A refrigerator which is equipped with an ice maker is provided to detect the state of full of ice by using an optical sensor and to prevent the malfunction of the sensor due to external moisture. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator comprises: an ice maker(10) which includes a housing(13) and an ice-making tray(16); an ice container which is closely installed to the ice maker; an optical sensor(390) which is installed in the ice maker and senses the capacity state of full of ice which is accepted in the ice container; an optical sensor cover member wherein the optical sensor is installed; and an optical sensor receiving part wherein the optical sensor cover member and the optical sensor are inserted. The optical sensor includes a light-emitting part(500) which is installed to one side of the housing and a light-receiving part(400) which is installed at the other side of the housing.
