<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fan drive system reducing standby power and power consumption by regeneratively using the energy of an electromotive force generated by a fan rotated by external wind. <P>SOLUTION: An inverter 4 is a three-phase bridge inverter configured of switching elements 15a to 15f and diodes 16a to 16f, and includes a control means 7 which outputs a control signal for the switching elements 15a to 15f of the inverter 4 based on an operation command from the outside and which PWM-controls the opening/closing operations thereof.
