<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for a two-component developer capable of maintaining stable fluidity for a long period of time and forming an image of high picture quality, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The toner for a two-component developer (which is described as a toner hereinafter) comprises toner base particles containing a binder resin and a pigment, to which an external additive is externally added. When a shear stress is measured by rotating the toner at a rotational speed of 1/100 (1/S) for at least 300 seconds, the rotation time (X) and the shear stress (Y) in a rotation period of 150 to 300 seconds satisfy formula 1:Y=aX+b, wherein a and b are coefficients in the ranges of -0.0060≤a≤0.0060 and 210≤b≤245, respectively. The image forming apparatus 10 is equipped with developing devices 11a to 14a having developer containers 11c to 14c each housing a developer comprising the toner and a carrier, and with toner containers 11b to 14b each housing the toner as a replenishing toner, wherein the replenishing toner housed in the toner containers 11b to 14b is supplied to the developer containers 11c to 14c. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
