PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image acquiring apparatus acquiring an image that reflects the original shape of an object by simple image processing. SOLUTION: When a second imaging mode is set, and a part of a laptop personal computer PC is imaged together with a document DCM by a solid imaging element 102, a parameter for correcting an image of the document DCM is decided according to the outline of the image of the part of the laptop personal computer PC which is formed based on a signal outputted from the solid imaging element 102. By performing the image processing to image data of a primary acquired image G1, based on the parameter for correcting the document DCM, therefore, images G2 and G3 that reflect the original rectangular shape of the document DCM are acquired.
