PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display unit that enables a user to distinguish between a real image and a video image regardless of any positional relation between sun glasses lens and display device. SOLUTION: The display unit includes: a sun glasses lens 14 for diopter correction, disposed right in front of each eye ball of a user; and a transparent substrate 22 disposed in front of the lens 14 (on the object side) and serving as a video image projection monitor. The display unit incorporates a transmission type display device 13 that projects a video image, photographed with a camera, onto the transparent substrate 22 as a video image projection monitor. The sun glasses lens 14 is set specifically low in the transmittance of blue visible light, and is set specifically high in the transmittance of visible light in wavelength areas other than blue, that is, the transmittance of yellowish color. The coloring of a video image light, with which a video image is formed on the transparent substrate 22, is made green. This makes green distinct from yellow, and makes it easy to recognize a video image even when the video image light is passed through the sun glasses lens 14. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
